Eat It, Virginia! is a podcast that offers a deep dive into the food, restaurants, and dining trends of Richmond and beyond. Hosted by CBS6’s Robey Martin and Scott Wise, Eat It, Virginia keeps its listeners up to date on hot spots in dining, local chefs, and businesses that support local food. Scott and Robey will sit down with Sub Rosa Bakery owners (and sibling duo) Evrim and Evin Dogu. Their bakery opened in Church Hill in 2012 and has quickly becoming a must visit destination in Richmond. Baking in a traditional wood-fired oven and focusing on regionally grown grains, the Dogu's are James Beard award nominees and have been featured in some of the biggest publications including Garden & Gun, Bon Appetit, and the New York Times.
We've partnered again with The Apple Cart Co., CreativeMktGroup, and By Jacqui Photography to host a casual social gathering for food industry members. We hope you'll join us on Brambly Park's covered patio to network, chat, and relax with friends and colleagues.
Real Local RVA is excited to host its 5th Annual Farm Tour, and spend a day with our local food community!
The tour will be held at Charlotte Acres in Mechanicsville, VA. Charlotte Acres is the home to three separate minority owned farms, Shine Farms, Real Roots Food Systems and Hazel Witch Farm.
Guests will receive a tour of each farm and learn about their growing practices and business models. After the tour guests will enjoy locally sourced food with ingredients from the farms provided by Leek & Thistle and music from local singer/songwriter Rachel Leyco. We’re honored to host this yearly celebration of local farms and food!
